RevUnit’s Brian Hughes honored as CFO of the Year Finalist by Arkansas Business
RevUnit CFO Brian Hughes has been selected by Arkansas Business as a 2019 Small Private Company CFO of the Year finalist. The recognition follows a period of tremendous growth, financial strength, and professionalization for RevUnit during Brian’s time with the company.
According to the organizers at Arkansas Business, the CFO of the Year Awards “honor the state's top CFOs and their company's achievements,” with awards designed to “recognize CFOs who have taken on the essential duty of fiscal leadership, successfully guiding their company or organization through prosperous and uncertain economic times.”
RevUnit has seen phenomenal growth during Brian’s tenure as CFO. Recently, the company was named to the Inc 5000 list of America’s fastest-scaling companies for a rare third consecutive year. The recognition also follows RevUnit welcoming Mountaingate Capital as a strategic investor, a deal that Brian played an important role in facilitating, which has positioned RevUnit for a new phase of growth.
Brian has also been an outspoken voice for innovation on the executive leadership team. A member of the Association of Professional Futurists, he has led forward-looking initiatives such as RevUnit’s partnership with the University of Houston on foresight and the future of the retail industry. A certified Exponential Organizations coach, he leads a Northwest Arkansas chapter of Singularity University, which is focused on applying emerging and exponential technology to the world’s big challenges.
“Brian’s leadership has been essential in helping mature RevUnit’s financial practices well beyond its startup peers, which has opened up new opportunities for our business,” said RevUnit President Josh Stanley. “But Brian isn’t just a numbers guy -- he’s a people-focused, empathetic leader who is always looking for creative ways to better serve our clients and our team.”
“A recognition like this is always a reflection of a great team and the great work that they’re doing,” Brian said about the award. “I’m so grateful for our talented and dedicated team at RevUnit and the impact that we’re having as we help people and companies work better.”
